Supply ship dates for Sales Orders impacted by parts shortages.
Maintain material master data, safety stock levels, and forecasts for all facilities in the U.S.
Maintain planning system integrity and optimize parameters relative to material planning data.
Ensure accurate purchase order (PO) dates are maintained and updated in MRP system.
Create and release internal production orders to manufacture parts locally.
Communicate, resolve, and expedite delays in material receipts with relevant departments.
Order Airfreight components from internal suppliers for material shortages within company guidelines.
Research, investigate, and resolve purchase order (PO) receipt and shipping discrepancies.
Interact and collaborate with internal suppliers, manufacturing, sales, engineering, warehousing, logistics, and accounting.
Prepare inventory and performance reports.
Perform special assignments as assigned by Manager.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred. APICS certification is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of work experience in material planning or equivalent experience required.
Skills and Key Attributes: Customer service driven mindset.
o Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
o Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.
o Ability to effectively lead and coordinate multiple, complex requests and projects.
o Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (lookups, formulas, pivot tables) preferred.
o Proficiency in SAP (preferred) or similar ERP experience
o Collaborative communicator with internal and external customers.
o Ability to accurately communicate ideas, instructions, problems, and solutions.
o Self-disciplined and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
The Material Planner is responsible for analyzing, planning, and maintaining material availability to ensure a continuous supply in support of manufacturing schedules. This role includes placing purchase orders and managing the supply of internally sourced parts to maintain material availability in alignment with company inventory objectives. Additionally, the Material Planner is responsible for committing to the best available ship dates for sales orders across all U.S. plants based on current material supply conditions. The role requires building and maintaining strong working relationships and effective communication with both internal teams and external suppliers to quickly resolve any supply-related issues.
