About the Role Our Client is looking for a Staff Backend Engineer to design and build the core platform capabilities that power leading companies like Greptile, Julius, Render, SoFi, and others. This person will play a critical role in translating complex business problems into elegant technical solutions-while driving measurable improvements across performance, automation, and user experience.
Mission Build foundational backend and platform features that support enterprise-scale customers Translate business needs into robust, scalable, and maintainable backend systems Identify opportunities for intelligent automation and workflow optimization Deliver backend architecture that anticipates user goals and enables new product capabilities Key Outcomes Improve system latency through architectural enhancements and performance tuning Reduce user workload per week through automation, workflow efficiencies, and backend-driven intelligence Consistently ship features that users didn't know they needed-by deeply understanding their goals and uncovering more efficient paths to them Core Competencies
