THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE: As a Mobile Solutions Architect, you will bridge mobile engineering, solution architecture, and platform enablement to craft enterprise-scale commerce experiences. You will play a key role in designing and advancing Ulta's mobile platforms for iOS and Android, ensuring applications are scalable, maintainable, and user-friendly for millions of customers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams focusing on payments, identity, engagement, personalization, and content systems to build secure, high-performance, feature-rich applications. YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY: Partnering with engineering, product, and platform teams to evolve Ulta's mobile ecosystem. Defining mobile architecture standards, patterns, and guidelines. Collaborating with backend and API teams for mobile-first integration strategies. Participating in technical design reviews and planning for new mobile features. Evaluating and adopting modern mobile frameworks, SDKs, and tools. Ensuring applications meet performance, reliability, and accessibility standards. Advocating for maintainable code, modularization, and best mobile app architectural practices. Streamlining CI/CD pipelines and automated testing in partnership with DevOps and QA. Producing clear architectural documentation and system diagrams to support development teams. ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS: 7-10+ years of hands-on mobile application development experience in iOS (Swift) and/or Android (Kotlin). Prior experience as an application architect. Experience contributing to application architecture or solution design for mid-to-large applications. Strong understanding of mobile design patterns such as MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, and modular application structure. Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. Experience integrating with backend APIs using REST or GraphQL. Knowledge of performance tuning, mobile security, offline experiences, and accessibility guidelines. Ability to articulate architectural tradeoffs and produce clear documentation. Strong collaboration skills with product managers, designers, and backend engineers. Curiosity about emerging mobile technologies and frameworks. PREFERRED: Experience in enterprise-scale or high-traffic consumer mobile applications. Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks and analytics instrumentation. Exposure to feature flag systems or dynamic content frameworks. Experience in e-commerce, payments, identity/authentication, or personalization features. Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP). The pay range for this position is $119,300.00 - $179,000.00 / Year, with potential for additional compensation through the Company's bonus plan. Actual pay will be based on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, and business needs.
