Technical Readiness Manager

Professional Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree is preferred. 10+ years of experience in program management, ideally in hardware or cloud infrastructure support roles. Proven history of successfully delivering large-scale, cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced and uncertain environments. Ability to manage multiple complex programs concurrently. Exceptional communication skills with experience in presenting to executive stakeholders. Outstanding organizational, stakeholder management, and influencing capabilities. Technical know-how to understand and communicate hardware and service processes effectively. PMP or similar project/program management certification is a plus. Responsibilities: Based in Santa Clara, this position is integral to working alongside development teams focused on designing core Cloud infrastructure systems. Cross-Functional Leadership:
Collaborate with Product Engineering, SCO (Operations), Marketing, Product Teams, Field Engineering, Global Service Logistics (GSL), Domains, Training, and Quality teams. Act as the service representative for new product releases and ongoing support. Advocate for services in product team meetings to ensure that service needs and interests are prioritized.
Program & Project Management:
Lead critical cross-organizational programs that encompass NPI, support readiness, quality remediation, and process improvement initiatives. Oversee the execution of multiple programs simultaneously, enhancing operational efficiencies. Determine project requirements and scope, set success metrics and timelines, and ensure comprehensive documentation (SOWs, project charters, schedules, resource plans). Develop and implement risk management strategies; maintain risk registers diligently. Conduct regular status meetings with stakeholders and deliver communications to executive levels up to the VP/SVP tier.
Service Readiness:
Formulate and execute the Service Delivery strategy for new product launches. Coordinate the rollout, ordering, and logistics of necessary spare parts globally at product launch. Ensure training for Field and Domain Engineers is completed and that all documentation is correctly prepared. Manage the setup and readiness of repair vendors and logistics operations. Oversee procurement and delivery of capital equipment.
Post-Release Support:
Address spare part shortages and manage global availability of components and repair processes. Supervise and resolve product hardware quality issues via purges and Field Change Orders (FCOs). Enhance the Service Request (SR) flow through failure reporting, logs, and automation tools (ASR). Drive service profitability improvements and cost reductions; influence End of Service Life (EOSL) recommendations.
Continuous Process Improvement:
Spearhead and contribute to continuous process improvement projects and ad-hoc initiatives. Provide a business perspective on product issues, quality, and performance across the product lifecycle.
