Meta is on the lookout for an exceptional leader to join our Data Engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to build the data architecture that not only supports product launches but also drives insights that fuel company growth and enhance user satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Set and drive the mission and strategy for Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehousing within a product vertical. Build and lead a high-performing BI and Data Warehousing team, ensuring scalability and excellence. Foster cross-functional relationships with stakeholders to identify and fulfill data needs effectively. Oversee data warehouse initiatives, enhancing data quality and ensuring operational efficiency. Design, build, and launch innovative data models and production pipelines. Create impactful dashboards and data visualizations. Establish and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for all production data sets and processes. Promote efficiency and speed, leading project management efforts with a clear vision for how BI can drive proactive improvements. Minimum Qualifications A minimum of 4 years of experience in applied analytics, with at least 2 years managing analytics teams (or 2+ years with a Ph.D.). Over 8 years of experience in BI and Data Warehousing. A Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or a related technical field. Proven experience in initiating and executing BI or data warehousing projects with minimal guidance. Strong ability to communicate analytical results to executive leadership. Project management expertise. Solid understanding of data architecture. Proficiency in data querying languages (e.g., SQL) and experience in at least one object-oriented programming language (Python, Java, etc.). 2+ years of people management experience with the ability to scale and oversee teams of 3 or more. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineering, Data Science, Software Engineering, and Product Management. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Big Data technologies, Hadoop, and data visualization tools. Advanced degree (Master of Science, PhD) is a plus.
