Responsibilities

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges with accuracy.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and resolving concerns promptly.
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about new or featured items, encouraging additional purchases through upselling strategies.
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh products to enhance the shopping experience.
• Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling, balancing registers, and issuing receipts.
• Assist with stocking shelves and organizing inventory to ensure the store remains inviting and well-maintained.
• Use effective phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone, ensuring clarity and professionalism.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customers.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for team collaboration.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately during transactions.
• Experience working in a grocery store or similar retail environment is beneficial.
• A positive attitude, excellent phone etiquette, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service are essential.
