Lead Data Scientist
with a strong focus on Generative AI (GenAI), Large Language Models (LLMs), and Agentic Systems. In this vital role, you will spearhead the design, development, and deployment of innovative AI solutions that leverage generative models and intelligent agents to transform our products and operations. In your position, you will explore new frontiers from foundational research to production-ready applications, tackling diverse datasets and complex challenges, particularly in the oncology field. You will also mentor junior team members and collaborate with cross-functional engineering and product teams to introduce groundbreaking AI capabilities, including predictive models from complex, often unstructured oncology data. Responsibilities Research & Development:
Lead the development of cutting-edge Generative AI models, including LLMs and diffusion models, to tackle key business challenges. LLM Expertise:
Architect and deploy Large Language Models for applications such as natural language processing, summarization, and question-answering, focusing on deriving insights from unstructured clinical data. Agentic Systems Design:
Create intelligent systems capable of autonomous decision-making and reasoning, utilizing LLMs as core components. Predictive Modeling:
Develop advanced predictive capabilities from structured and unstructured oncology data to support clinical decision-making. Prompt Engineering:
Develop strategies to optimize LLM performance through effective prompt engineering. Data Strategy for GenAI:
Collaborate with data engineers to implement tailored data collection and preprocessing strategies for generative model training. Model Evaluation & Deployment:
Establish robust evaluation metrics and oversee the deployment and continuous improvement of AI models in production. Collaboration & Leadership:
Work closely with engineering and product teams to integrate AI solutions into our offerings, while also providing mentorship to junior data scientists. Innovation & Thought Leadership:
Stay updated on advancements in GenAI and LLMs to identify new opportunities and technologies. Ethical AI:
Uphold responsible AI development, addressing biases and ensuring transparency. Qualifications 8-12 years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning, focusing on deep learning and natural language processing. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Hands-on experience with Generative AI models, including Transformers and GANs. Extensive work with Large Language Models, including fine-tuning and architecture knowledge. Experience designing and deploying agentic systems with decision-making capabilities. Ability to work with unstructured oncology data, extracting meaningful insights. Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. Familiarity with cloud platforms for deploying AI models. Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities. Experience in healthcare or life sciences, specifically related to oncology, is highly preferred. Experience in MLOps and distributed computing frameworks is a plus. Contributions to open-source AI projects will be valued. $123,400 - $176,300 Bonus eligible:
