Who We Are:
The Fighter Mission Systems Navigation, Data Link, and Displays Hardware Team works with suppliers, programs, and customers to develop, qualify, test, and deliver hardware (including its software & firmware) in support of the Boeing Fighters platforms. The team also provides expert technical assistance to government customers on the integration of government developed and/or purchased (GFE) navigation and data link systems onto both the F-15 and F/A-18 aircraft. The high performing and fast paced Navigation, Data Link, and Displays team is currently engaged in a number of exciting and high-profile development projects for both the F-15 platform (both USAF and foreign customers) as well as the F/A-18. These efforts are key to many of our customers achieving their operational goals.
Ability to support the engineering design, development, and analysis of commodities assigned to ensure seamless integration into higher level systems and platforms. Consultative experience in the design, development, integration, test, and operational capability of various USAF, USN, and international programs. Overseeing the definition and execution of critical tests of various kinds to validate performance of designs to requirements. Assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements baseline. Provide technical leadership for critical aspects of supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements. Support the products throughout their lifecycle from manufacturing to customer use Both domestic and international travel is expected as a part of this role.
Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. ~ An interim and/or final U.Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry ~5+ years of work-related experience plus a Bachelors degree OR 3+ years of work-related experience plus a Masters degree OR work-related experience plus a PhD
Basic understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering Typical Education/ Experience: Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
