Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to incidents. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in loss prevention and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Duties

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent theft, vandalism, and other security breaches.
• Operate and monitor CCTV systems to ensure surveillance of premises.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, conducting thorough investigations as needed.
• Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and safety within the facility.
• Provide first aid and CPR as necessary in emergency situations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when required, providing detailed reports on incidents.
• Engage in conflict management to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
• Conduct regular inspections of premises to identify potential security risks or vulnerabilities.
• Assist in training new security personnel on protocols and procedures.

Experience

• Previous experience in a security role or law enforcement is preferred but not mandatory.
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, or similar is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and surveillance systems is an asset.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• A background in military service or law enforcement can be beneficial for this position.
