Primary Purpose:

Assist the teaching team with preparing and implementing the Tūtū and Me curriculum and program.

Essential Duties

  • Work as part of a team to create and prepare learning materials for keiki and caregivers enrolled in the program;
  • Model, teach, and engage with enrolled families in a professional manner that encourages caregivers to be their keikiʻs first and foremost teacher;
  • Contribute towards supportive professional relationships with families and colleagues;
  • Help maintain safety guidelines and expectations at the office and program sites.

Other Duties:

Other duties may include but are not limited to, assisting the team with daily attendance, observing caregivers and keiki for assistance with data and assessments, participating in the lesson plan process, and participating in team discussions.

Work Hours:

  • Monday through Friday, up to 40 hours per week; hours of operation varied by site and determined by the Site Manager;
  • Reliable attendance.

Working Conditions:

  • Program mobile sites in locations such as community centers, schools, and churches;
  • Office setting;
  • Travel in program vehicle to and from program site.

Equipment Use:

Office equipment (computer, printer, copier, scanner, bluetooth, laminator, shredder), site and facility equipment.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED:

  • Three (3) months experience working with keiki;
  • Valid driver's license and a safe and responsible driving record;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Canva publishing, and virtual meeting platforms;
  • Knowledge and understanding of Hawaiian culture and values.
