Janitorial Services Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Janitorial Services Worker to maintain cleanliness and safety across various facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial and industrial cleaning, custodial tasks, and facilities maintenance. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning duties to ensure a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. The position offers opportunities to develop skills in floor care, buffing, and general maintenance, contributing to the overall upkeep of our facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal in designated areas
• Conduct deep cleaning procedures such as carpet cleaning, floor buffing, and surface sanitation
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to established standards
• Utilize cleaning equipment and supplies safely and efficiently
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks including light repairs and facility upkeep
• Follow safety protocols and proper handling of cleaning chemicals
• Ensure all work areas are kept organized and stocked with necessary supplies
• Support special projects such as residential painting or industrial cleaning as needed

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in commercial or industrial settings
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing
• Experience with facilities maintenance or porter duties is a plus
• Familiarity with cleaning tools, equipment, and chemical products used in commercial cleaning environments
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $18.75 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
