Senior COBOL CICS Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior COBOL CICS Developer to join the development and support team. The contractor will support, enhance, and maintain the statewide SNAP/TANF Eligibility Determination System. Enhancements include integration with other platforms, modernization, and process automation.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior COBOL CICS Developer to join the development and support team. The contractor will support, enhance, and maintain the statewide SNAP/TANF Eligibility Determination System. Enhancements include integration with other platforms, modernization, and process automation.

Responsibilities

• 20+ years of enterprise system programming experience in COBOL CICS using ADABAS databases.
• Must be experienced in troubleshooting complex SNAP and TANF eligibility systems.
• Experience working in a Linux environment using MicroFocus COBOL in Enterprise Developer.
• Ability to create new screens and integrate new functionality into legacy systems.
• 6+ years of experience in analysis, design, and programming for large/complex development projects on IBM Mainframe or Linux systems.
• 6+ years of experience working with automated eligibility determination systems (SNAP Eligibility, TANF Eligibility, SNAP E&T, Benefits, Benefit Recovery).
• 3+ years of experience providing subject matter expertise on Mainframe CICS system architecture.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience recommending system or process enhancements.
• 6+ years of experience developing, maintaining, and updating documentation (procedures, policies, processes).
• 6+ years of experience with SNAP/TANF eligibility rules, economic assistance policies, and both state and federal mandates related to systems like MAVS.
• 6+ years of experience interpreting, designing, and implementing federal and state mandates in Linux-based systems such as MAVS.
