Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team in providing exceptional patient care and ensure smooth daily operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your dental assisting skills and knowledge of dental software systems such as Epic and Dentrix. Experience in orthodontics, pediatrics, or familiarity with CAD is a plus. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in enhancing patient comfort and assisting with various dental procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
  • Take and develop dental radiographs as needed, utilizing CAD technology when applicable
  • Manage patient records using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Provide patients with post-operative instructions and education about oral health care
  • Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, answering patient questions, and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when necessary
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment at all times
  • Support the team with inventory management of dental supplies and equipment

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental practice
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control standards
  • Familiarity with dental software systems such as Epic and Dentrix is highly preferred
  • Experience with orthodontics, pediatrics, or CAD technology is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Certification or training in Dental Assisting is required; additional certifications in medical terminology are a plus
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail in a busy clinical setting

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: Up to $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
