Electrical
Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
to join our team. The EIT will support our Engineering team on various electrical projects including renewables energy systems, microgrids, electric vehicle charging deployments and feasibility studies.
Job Duties
This is a multi-faceted position:
- Design of renewable energy systems and microgrids that incorporate distributed energy resources such as solar, battery energy storage, combined heat & power
- Assessment of electrical systems to determine feasibility of distributed energy resources
- Field reviews at construction sites
- Engaging directly with contractors and clients
- Coordination with industry vendors as required
- Use of 3D Laser Scanner to capture existing site conditions
- Other administrative duties as assigned
Candidate Experience & Skill Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in solar design, renewables, power grids, building electrical or industrial electrical systems;
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with a preference for specialty in power systems;
- Registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) is an asset;
- Demonstrated flexibility to meet and adapt to changes in organizational priorities;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook);
- Working knowledge of office procedures and standard office equipment;
- Knowledge of business English, including grammar, spelling and syntax;
- Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders;
- Class 5 driver's license;
- Be legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulations.

- Superior technology and computer skills. Quick at learning new software and embedded devices;

Location
This position is based in Saskatoon, SK.
Working Hours
40 hours per week. Flexible working hours, Monday to Friday.
