About the Role
A new elevated bar and grill restaurant opening this summer in Edwards is seeking a skilled, motivated, and creative chef ready to take the next step in their career. This role will be instrumental in developing the opening menu, establishing kitchen systems, and leading the culinary team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
The ideal candidate brings a global perspective on food, strong leadership skills, and a disciplined approach to food cost, labor management, and operational excellence. This position works closely with the ownership and General Manager to ensure consistency, profitability, and quality across all kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and execution of opening menus that align with concept, price point, and profitability goals.
- Oversee all kitchen operations including ordering, inventory control, storage, prep systems, and sanitation standards.
- Maintain strict compliance with all health department regulations and food safety standards.
- Manage food cost, labor cost, waste control, and portioning to meet budget targets.
- Develop opening procedures, recipes, training materials, and kitchen systems.
- Recruit, train, coach, and schedule kitchen staff using hands-on leadership methods.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, presentation, and cleanliness.
- Collaborate with ownership and GM on operational planning, purchasing strategies, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in opening and closing responsibilities as business levels require.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a chef or kitchen leader in a high-volume or elevated casual environment.
- Strong understanding of food costing, labor management, inventory controls, and P&L awareness.
- Demonstrated ability to create innovative dishes with broad culinary influence.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to train, motivate, and lead a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.

Pay: $75, $80,000.00 per year
