Painting Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a reliable Painting Maintenance Technician to support ongoing maintenance and unit turnover work at multifamily and/or commercial properties. This role focuses primarily on interior and exterior painting, touch ups and surface preparation to maintain clean, safe and professional-looking properties.

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
• Execute residential and commercial painting projects using hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and other equipment to achieve precise results
• Perform touch-ups during unit turnovers and routine maintenance
• Protect furniture, flooring and fixtures during painting projects
• Perform drywall installation, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, and fixture installation as needed for comprehensive project completion
• Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project scope, materials needed, and timeframes for efficient job execution
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as concrete finishing, framing, welding, and industrial painting to support ongoing property upkeep
• Report property issues or damage observed during work
• Follow safety guidelines and company procedures at all times

Requirements/Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting or related fields with a strong understanding of multi-family property protocols
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, airless paint spraying equipment, and other relevant machinery
• Knowledge of plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, restoration techniques and fixture installation
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
• Basis handyman or general maintenance skills

Pay: From $19.18 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
