We are seeking a meticulous Picker/Packer to join our bustling warehouse operations in San Jose, California. This role is fundamental to our logistics success, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled with speed and accuracy. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from our inventory based on order tickets and preparing them for shipment. This involves navigating the warehouse, identifying products, and ensuring the correct quantities are picked. Following the picking process, you will expertly package the items, ensuring they are protected during transit and meet our high standards for presentation. A sharp eye for detail is essential to prevent errors and maintain customer satisfaction. You will utilize various tools, including RF scanners, to manage inventory and track orders efficiently. Safety is our top priority, and strict adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is expected. This fast-paced environment demands efficiency, accuracy, and a strong work ethic. We value team players who are committed to meeting deadlines and contributing to a positive work atmosphere. Responsibilities include: Accurately picking products according to order specifications; Using RF scanners to track inventory and orders; Inspecting items for damage or defects; Packaging products securely and professionally; Labeling packages accurately for shipment; Maintaining a clean and organized workstation; Adhering to all safety guidelines and using required PPE; Participating in inventory counts and checks; Contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of items up to 35 lbs and extended periods of standing and walking.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners.
- Package items securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Inspect products for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain organized and clean picking and packing stations.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and use appropriate PPE.
- Ensure correct labeling of all outgoing shipments.
- Contribute to the overall productivity of the logistics team.
- Participate in inventory management activities.
Qualifications:
- Previous picking and packing experience is advantageous.
- Ability to operate RF scanning devices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capability to perform lifting tasks up to 35 lbs.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
