We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our facility in Boise, Idaho. This critical role involves maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through rigorous tracking, auditing, and reconciliation processes. You will be responsible for identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies, implementing cycle counting programs, and optimizing inventory management systems. A thorough understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and a commitment to data accuracy are essential. This role contributes significantly to the overall efficiency and profitability of our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system records and physical stock.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor inventory levels and provide reports on stock status, aging, and potential shortages.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in our logistics operations.
- Manage the receipt and put-away process, ensuring accurate recording of incoming goods.
- Oversee the return process, ensuring proper inspection and disposition of returned items.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Train warehouse staff on inventory control procedures and the importance of accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse management role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (WMS) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs on occasion.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
