Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. Your duties will include managing stock levels, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to optimize inventory accuracy within our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of warehouse inventory management principles. You will play a key role in maintaining efficient operations and reducing losses due to stock errors. A commitment to safety, including proper handling and storage of goods, is essential, as is adherence to all safety guidelines and the correct use of PPE.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of all inventory items.
  • Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams on inventory-related matters.
  • Assist in the management of warehouse layout to optimize storage and accessibility.
  • Maintain a safe and organized inventory storage environment.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of inventory best practices and logistics principles.
  • Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 40 lbs) and demonstrate safe handling techniques.
  • Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
