As the operational backbone of Meta's network, our team is dedicated to deploying and supporting robust production networks, including Edge, Backbone, Optical, and Datacenter networks, as well as our global content delivery network (CDN). Key Responsibilities: Deploy, configure, and manage all network infrastructure across our data center campus.
Collaborate with partner teams and vendors to ensure day-to-day operational reliability of the regional network.
Perform scheduled maintenance including upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning of production networks.
Create deployment install packages and maintain comprehensive documentation and asset databases for network and computing equipment.
Establish and implement global best practices while contributing to the design of scalable network solutions.
Support the development, testing, and integration of new hardware and software platforms into the network.
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24x7 support for the network infrastructure.
Willingness to travel 10-30% based on project needs.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
At least 6 years of experience in designing, deploying, and operating large-scale networks.
Experience with configuring and troubleshooting routing and switching protocols such as BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, RSVP-TE, and VRRP.
Strong understanding of network protocols including TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS, as well as IPv4 and IPv6.
Hands-on experience in a multi-vendor environment with various networking hardware.
Working knowledge in physical infrastructure design, including structured cabling and fiber-optic cabling.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively while delivering against mission-critical deadlines.
Ability to work independently in a global team environment, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with 40/100G Ethernet and optical transport technologies like CWDM and DWDM.
Experience in field-based roles within Data Centers, Colocation Facilities, Internet Exchanges, or Central Offices.
Knowledge of data center power, cooling infrastructure, and best practices for critical facility operations.
Experience with Linux-based systems and scripting/automation using Bash, Python, or Perl.
Previous technical leadership and people management experience is preferred.
Compensation: $135,000/year to $191,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits. Industry:
