Join our dynamic team as a Lead Data Scientist, where you will be a vital contributor to the Army Sustainment Command (ASC). This role offers the opportunity to apply advanced analytical skills to enhance materiel readiness and streamline business processes. Key Responsibilities: Conduct advanced analytics and create algorithms that inform business process improvements. Utilize data-driven decisions to identify and mitigate challenges while enhancing operational readiness. Develop comprehensive solutions incorporating quantitative and qualitative analytics techniques. Regularly communicate effective strategies for project success and implement metrics for performance evaluation. Explore innovative methods to optimize mission performance through analytics. Leverage statistical techniques to draw insights from data, utilizing time series analysis, regression models, and more. Perform qualitative analysis to inform decisions based on multi-criteria evaluations and systems architecture. Engage in business process optimization across DOTMLPF-P elements. Produce vital documentation for software enhancements and collaborate with contractors on technology solutions. Develop requirements for cutting-edge defense analytics software and create communication products for stakeholders. Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship required. Active Secret Clearance or interim Secret Clearance. Master's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a data science team. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency with programming languages such as Python and Java, and tools like R and MATLAB. Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms. Solid understanding of SQL and database management. Familiarity with machine learning, predictive analytics, and data engineering practices. Ability to work with unstructured data and apply natural language processing techniques. Understanding of cloud computing and software reporting solutions. This full-time position is not eligible for telework and is located in Bettendorf, Illinois, US. Your contributions will directly support important military operations and logistics.
