Senior/Principal Platform Systems Mechanical Engineer

Location: Barrow-in-Furness (Full-time on-site presence required)

As a key player in our team, you will:

• Develop design evidence to ensure a safe and effective design, boosting customer confidence .
• Specify and assist in building prototypes, products, and systems for testing.
• Provide timely corrective actions on all assigned defects and issues.
• Ensure commitments are agreed upon, reviewed, and met.
• Mentor junior engineers on technical matters.
• Present effectively to both technical and management audiences, staying updated on novel technical concepts and markets.
• Author and co-author technical reports, papers, articles, patents, and presentations as needed.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds a degree in Engineering, Mechanical, or Science subjects.
• Can create design documentation and present it to customers and wider groups.
• Is skilled in solving complex engineering calculations.
• Is proficient in CAD, MS Office, and comfortable with other IT applications.
