Visio Lending is the nation's leader in rental home financing. Founded in 2012, Visio enables small- to medium-sized investors to grow their rental home and vacation rental portfolios. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, since late 2015, Visio has financed more than $3 billion in Rental360 DSCR loans. We are seeking a Data Analytics And Governance Lead to lead the enablement, adoption, and governance of Visio Lending's enterprise data platform by partnering with business teams to deliver impactful insights, drive metric alignment, and ensure data readiness for advanced analytics and AI applications, with deep expertise in Microsoft Azyre Synapse pipelines (formerly ADF) and Power BI Service configuration, including development and lifecycle management of semantic models. As a Data Analytics And Governance Lead with Visio, you will contribute to the Information Technology Department by: Leading collaboration with business units to identify critical data sources, KPIs, and reporting needs Managing ingestion of structured data into the enterprise data warehouse using tools such as Azure Synapse pipelines (formerly Aure Data Factory) Building reports, dashboards, and data alerts using Power BI to deliver business insights; develop, publish, and maintain robust Power BI semantic models (tabular) including DAX measures, incremental refresh, and composite/DirectQuery models Administering Power BI Service (tenant settings, workspace & capacity management for Pro/Premium, data gateways, deployment pipelines, RLS/OLS) and enforcing governance policies for consistent, secure self-service Collaborating with subject matter experts to define and maintain KPIs and standardized metrics across departments; maintain a centralized KPI Registry and Business Glossary Monitoring and maintaining the operational health of the enterprise data warehouse and related BI systems Partnering with the AI Enablement Lead to ensure data quality and availability for AI-powered solutions, including integration points with Azure AI Foundry/Azure ML and data contracts where applicable Providing guidance to business users on how to self-serve using the BI platform Supporting data governance efforts, including stewardship, access control, and documentation; develop and maintain a network of Data Stewards and SMEs for Analytics across departments Coordinating with IT on issues related to performance, permissions, and platform maintenance, plan for Microsoft Fabric readiness where appropriate Tracking and prioritizing enhancement requests and promoting consistent practices across teams Establishing and leading Visio's data governance program, including roles, responsibilities, and ownership across business units Identifying and documenting systems of record, single sources of truth, and data ownership for core business entities using Microsoft Purview for cataloging and lineage Defining and maintaining data standards, naming conventions, and documentation protocols Collaborating with department leaders to assign data stewards and support their ongoing enablement Monitoring adherence to governance policies and supporting enforcement through documentation and training Maintaining centralized documentation of KPIs, definitions, and metadata in support of self-service analytics Partnering with compliance, security, and IT to align governance efforts with regulatory and access control requirements Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes Managing other responsibilities and duties as assigned based on business needs Work Schedule: MondayFriday: 8:30 am 5:30 pm CST Available Remote Locations: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, NC, OH, SC, TX, UT Salary Range: $95,000 - $120,000 (Exempt level position) What we are looking for: Someone with a bachelor's degree in information systems, business analytics, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience Someone with 36 years of experience working with enterprise data platforms, reporting tools, or business intelligence systems Someone who has expertise with Microsoft Azure Synapse pipelines (formerly ADF) and Power BI Service configuration, including building and maintaining Power BI semantic models Someone with demonstrated ability to define KPIs and build dashboards for operational or strategic insights Someone who is highly skilled at using SQL for querying and manipulating structured datasets Someone with an understanding of data governance, metadata, and data quality management concepts Someone with the ability to use standard office equipment, printer, scanner, copier, fax, telephone, personal computer, and other peripheral devices 6 months of Visio Lending work experience which includes no disciplinary actions within the last 3 months. Current Manager notification is needed in order to apply for a vacant position. Any applicant that does not meet these conditions will require approval from the executive team member over the hiring department prior to extending a job offer What we prefer to find: Someone familiar with enterprise data modeling, data catalogs, or data lineage tooling; hands-on with Microsoft Purview Someone with an understanding of how data platforms support AI/ML applications; exposure to Azure Al Foundry/Azure ML Someone with experience in financial services, lending, or regulated industries Someone with experience working in an Agile or data product management environment Someone with exposure to Microsoft Azure AI Foundry or Azure ML Someone driven to establish consistency and data fluency across the organization, with strong semantic modeling/DAX craftsmanship and a focus on enabling Data Stewards and SMEs
