Job Description:
Responsibilities
We are seeking a Software Build Engineer (DevOps) to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the build system for Customer's automotive infotainment platform. This role is responsible for developing and optimizing build infrastructure, including scripts, tool chains, and CI/CD pipelines for local, cloud, and Jenkins-based environments. You will define strategies for code verification, test automation, and software release processes, while managing build configurations across multiple hardware platforms and Customer brands.
The role also involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners to troubleshoot build issues, integrate automated testing, and ensure software quality-supported by clear, thorough technical documentation.
Skills
Must have
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering 5+ years of experience in build/release engineering and software configuration management Strong background in embedded Linux and Android development Proficient in scripting (Python, Shell, Groovy, YAML) Hands-on experience with Docker, Jenkins, Git, Repo, Make, and CMake In-depth knowledge of AOSP/AAOSP and Yocto build systems Familiar with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Gerrit, Gradle, Open Embedded, Build root, Artifactory) Experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud and deployment tools such as Deployment Manager Skilled in working with ARM compilers and creating automated test pipelines using TDD Nice to have
Solid ASPICE 3.0 knowledge German intermediate, technical writing/reading
