The Data Engineer will support application development efforts by managing, preparing, transforming, and delivering high-quality data for analytical and operational use.
This role focuses on enabling accurate, reliable, and accessible data to support business decision-making.
The engineer will contribute to development, automation, migration, and virtualization initiatives, including building scalable data pipelines, automating workflows, and supporting environment transitions.
The role requires strong technical competence, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work across data engineering and application development functions.
Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering
Manage, prepare, and transform data for analytics and operational workflows. Build reliable data pipelines and workflows to ensure data availability and quality. Optimize data structures to support reporting, analytics, and application consumption. Ensure adherence to data governance, data quality, and data integrity standards. Development & Automation
Develop, test, and deploy new software, systems, or technology components. Automate manual processes and operational tasks to increase efficiency. Support application development with data-driven solutions and automated workflows. Troubleshoot and resolve integration or automation-related issues. Migration & Virtualization
Support data, application, and infrastructure migrations between cloud, hybrid, or on-prem environments. Assist in virtualizing servers, operating systems, storage, and network components. Ensure secure, accurate, and successful migration execution. General Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including application developers, analysts, architects, and infrastructure teams. Document processes, workflows, and technical solutions. Ensure data pipelines and workflows follow best practices for scalability, reliability, and performance. Support ongoing enhancement, maintenance, and optimization of data systems. Required Qualifications
Strong experience in data engineering, including data preparation, transformation, and pipeline development. Experience with software development or automation tasks such as scripting, workflow automation, or systems configuration. Experience supporting data or application migration efforts across cloud, on-prem, or hybrid environments. Experience with virtualization technologies (servers, operating systems, storage, or network virtualization). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Strong documentation skills and attention to detail. Ability to support T&M (Time and Materials)-based professional services engagements. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with modern data engineering tools, cloud platforms, or scripting languages. Experience in professional services or consulting environments. Exposure to application development ecosystems and CI/CD workflows.
