As a vital member of the OCI Business Operations Tooling development team, you will help drive operational excellence and support business success in one of Oracle's most rapidly growing cloud organizations. Help accelerate OCI's growth by developing cutting-edge tools that deliver measurable outcomes and enhance daily operations. Collaborate with senior leaders to influence future standards and best practices. Engage in groundbreaking AI and cloud-native projects, thriving in a fast-paced and innovative environment. Your Key Responsibilities: Work with data scientists and business analysts to convert research code into production-ready services and repeatable processes. Configure and manage cloud resources within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) including IAM policies, VCNs, access rules, logging, and monitoring. Design, build, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for R and Python applications using OCI DevOps and Git-based workflows. Containerize workloads using Docker or similar tools to ensure scalable and reproducible deployment patterns. Set up and oversee static web hosting using OCI Object Storage, CDN, and DNS configuration. Utilize hands-on cloud experience, preferably with OCI, but also acceptable with AWS, Azure, or GCP. Take full ownership of designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced data pipelines and platforms, offering technical leadership from requirements gathering to production delivery. Architect, build, and optimize large-scale and secure data workflows on OCI, leveraging services like OCI Data Flow, Data Integration, and Autonomous Data Warehouse. Collaborate closely with various stakeholders to understand their requirements and turn them into scalable technical solutions. Lead the assessment and integration of new Oracle cloud-native data technologies, fostering continuous improvement in data engineering processes. Ensure compliance with Oracle's security, privacy, and data management policies, while proactively identifying and mitigating risks. Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of learning and innovation. Prepare and present technical proposals, architecture reviews, and optimization suggestions to both technical and business leadership. Transform business needs into effective technical solutions. Promote cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organization. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. 5+ years of data engineering experience designing and delivering large-scale data platforms in a cloud environment. Deep proficiency with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW), Oracle Database, and Oracle Data Integration tools. Extensive experience with data modeling, warehousing, ETL/ELT patterns, and building production-grade data solutions using Oracle products. Solid understanding of data security, privacy, and best practices in regulated environments. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate across teams. Experience guiding or mentoring team members on data engineering best practices. Preferred Qualifications: Experience leading migration projects or developing greenfield data platforms on OCI. Familiarity with Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Machine Learning, and DevOps methodologies for data workloads. Professional Oracle certifications in cloud data management or related areas.
