We are at the forefront of developing cutting-edge Cloud IaaS/PaaS/SaaS technologies, providing our clients with a robust cloud infrastructure platform known for its reliability, scalability, and performance. The Autonomous Database Team is key to building the cloud service framework that powers a variety of Oracle's Autonomous Database offerings, including Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) and Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP). Our platform automates deployment, scaling, and management of databases seamlessly in the cloud. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be instrumental in defining and deploying autonomous database services, focusing on architecture, production operations, capacity planning, performance management, and deployment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding experiences while ensuring system reliability and performance. This role will support Oracle's Government customers. U.S. Citizenship is Required, Sponsorship is not available. We're a dynamic team that values proactive and driven individuals. In this role, you will need to: Serve as a point of escalation for incidents related to cloud database services. Manage and maintain cloud database services. Deploy code and implement necessary changes. Take ownership of core system platform implementations and operations. Continuously improve production systems through automation and self-healing processes. Document incidents thoroughly as per company standards. Stay updated on cloud infrastructure technologies. Lead resolutions for complex technical issues across various services. Responsibilities Qualifications: Must maintain a TS/SCI w/Poly security clearance and be a U.S. Citizen. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience. Strong experience with Linux systems. Ability to troubleshoot complex software and networking problems. Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and platforms. Experience in technical support, operations, or similar roles preferred. Expertise in Oracle Database technologies, including RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and RMAN is preferred. Proficient in development using Python, shell scripting, and SQL. In-depth knowledge and experience with Oracle Engineered systems, especially Exadata. Capacity to resolve complex hardware/software issues and conduct root cause analyses. Strong communication and analytical skills. Familiarity with security practices in web application delivery. Experience with government customers is a plus. Strong learning abilities to quickly master new technical domains and train others. U.S. Hiring Range: $79,100 to $158,200 annually. Eligibility for bonuses and equity possible.
