Minimum Qualifications/Must Have 8+ years of experience with demonstrated skills building, configuring, deploying and maintaining network hardware and software 6+ years of experience in customer support, including problem definition and resolution for both network hardware and software 6+ years of hands-on network troubleshooting experience 5+ years of experience with router and switches and Aruba wireless technologies 3+ years of experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (ex.SolarWinds network tools, PRTG etc.) 5+ years of experience configuring DNS and DHCP 5+ years in-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF) 5+ years of extensive experience administering organization LAN/WAN environment, including wireless access points 5+ years of extensive network design, installation, and maintenance experience 3+ years of experience with access control models and network security Solid understanding of network operation systems Solid background in network administration and architecture Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent combination of education CCNA, CCNP or CCIE certification, a plus Job Responsibilities: Helps identify, prioritize, and resolve critical network related issues that impact business operations Assists in the planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for network systems (including wireless and VoIP) of moderate complexity Participates in network planning, network architecture design and engineering. Integrates and schematically depicts communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols into complete network configurations Evaluates new products, performs network problem resolution, assists in the development and documentation of technical standards and interface applications Monitors protocol compatibility, performs system tuning, makes recommendations for improvement Applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures to complete assignments of the highest complexity Works on assignments where the business and technology problems, opportunities, and solutions may be undefined, many unknowns exist Works as subject matter expert and may provide indirect leadership
