About the Role: We are seeking an accomplished Software Engineering Manager for AI Core Engineering to lead a dynamic team of professionals in creating essential AI capabilities and developer-oriented applications that simplify AI integration within Ad Technology. This role involves managing a diverse team of backend and UI engineers, all focused on building reusable agents, orchestration services, and user-friendly web interfaces. As a leader, you will mentor engineers, drive project execution, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our solutions are scalable, secure, and comply with enterprise standards. You will blend organizational leadership with technical expertise, holding accountability for successful outcomes, roadmaps, and empowering your team to achieve outstanding results. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Management:
Lead and nurture a team of engineers, focus on their professional growth, and cultivate a high-performance culture. Program & Delivery Management:
Oversee the execution of the AI Core roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of products and services while tracking progress against goals. Cross-Team Collaboration:
Work closely with infrastructure, product, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of AI capabilities. Technical Oversight:
Support architecture and design processes, review proposals, mitigate risks, and maintain focus on best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred) or equivalent experience. 8+ years in software engineering with at least 2 years in a management role. Expertise in a programming language such as Python or Java, with proven experience in production systems. Experience managing teams focused on AI/ML systems or developer tools. Hands-on understanding of LLM APIs and orchestration frameworks. Track record of delivering UI/web applications in conjunction with backend services. Capable of guiding engineers on code quality, test automation, and production readiness. Effective communicator who can influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Management experience across backend and UI development teams. Knowledge of AI governance, safety, and observability. Familiarity with integrating enterprise AI services. Background in platform engineering to support shared frameworks. Ability to craft strategic documents and present to senior leaders. The position is located in Glendale, California. The salary range for this position in Los Angeles is $171,600 - $230,100; in San Francisco, it is $187,900 - $252,200; and in Seattle, it is $179,700 - $241,000.
