Role
Mobile Electrical Engineer Location: Covering Leeds, Bradford, York and surrounding areas Role Purpose
The Mobile Electrical Engineer will carry out PPM and Reactive activities in a variety of commercial premises. The role involves maintenance with some installation work. Core focus is electrical with a strong multi-skilled building services background. The role is hands-on and requires initiative, reliability and strong interpersonal skills as it is client facing. The ability to produce quotes for additional works by obtaining materials costs and writing up a description of the works required is also expected. What this job involves
Carry out reactive maintenance repairs across various buildings. Assess and order parts and equipment necessary for tasks. Work to recognised industry standards at all times. Participate in flexible working hours and out-of-hours emergency cover as required by the contract. Undertake training to perform duties, including health and safety courses and continued professional development. Assist other trades as required. Update/close completed Reactive & PPM tasks on the CAFM system. Ensure engineering standards are maintained to maximise efficient operation and reliability of plant. Adhere to company QA and site procedures; follow Client and Integral health and safety procedures. Inspect the condition of services and proactively handle call outs/repairs as required. Attend emergencies inside and outside normal working hours. Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe, working condition. Produce detailed and accurate reports for remedial works; generate technical reports and keep on-site log books for compliance. Electrical testing and completion of certificates or documentation for works completed; complete method statements and risk assessments as necessary. Carry out electrical works such as wiring fault finding and repair, door entry and access systems, emergency & non-emergency lighting, lamp changes, sockets and face plates, BMS and heating controls, water heater fault finding/repair. Carry out PPM tasks such as emergency light testing, fire alarm testing, distribution board checks, RCBO/RCD testing, fixed wire testing, temperature testing, FCU servicing, and AHU filtration checks. What your day-to-day will look like
Develop and manage stakeholder relationships to meet service levels. Meet or exceed Client KPIs and provide high-quality service. Ensure delivery of operational requirements per the client scope of works. Develop and implement procedures to improve reliability and efficiency. Lead initiatives such as system rollouts, regional training, and other initiatives to drive consistency. Drive client-specific initiatives including technology rollouts and benchmarking. Ensure financial processes, controls and reporting meet targets and are compliant. Adhere to JLL and client Health, Safety, Environment and Risk Management policies. Audit data integrity and vendor performance; manage reports and communications. Maintain an effective work order system for defect rectification and timely actions. Support with critical out-of-hours issues and participate in emergency responses. Coordinate churn work and minor projects; manage change control processes. Escalate and resolve building incidents with defined procedures. Manage vendor contracts and procurement; prepare tender documentation and contracts as required. Generate reports and conduct presentations as needed for service delivery and account management. Required Skills and Experience
NVQ 3 Electrical Installation C&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma Electrical Installation C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 or 2330 Levels 2 & 3 C&G 2391 or 2394 & 2395 18th edition certificate Extensive knowledge of commercial electrical systems Strong electrical & mechanical maintenance experience Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems Basic plumbing, carpentry and fabric skills are advantageous Full UK Driving Licence Knowledge of building fabric and basic reactive repairs Extensive knowledge of Health & Safety regulations Ability to act on own initiative; smart appearance and good communication skills Must be available for call-outs; able to work from a smartphone and PDA; team player who can work unsupervised Adaptable and flexible; willing to work weekends/evenings as required IPAF 3a/3b; Pasma Location
