Job Overview
W.E. Davies & Sons Remodeling is looking for a Lead Carpenter with 5+ years of residential remodeling experience. If you desire to be part of a team and love being in charge of residential remodeling projects, this job is for you You must have experience with coordinating subs and vendors for FULL remodels of bathrooms, kitchens, additions, decks, loft spaces and more.
Role Requirements: Strong communication and organization skills, high-level of attention to detail, strong client management and mentoring skills, love a fast-paced environment, have high standards, be a creative problem solver and experience with leading a team.
Duties
- Clerical duties including but not limited to:
-Reviewing project plans and scope of work prior to job start
-Production meeting prior to job start
-Relay change order info to project manager
-Client communication daily/weekly
- Leadership duties including but not limited to:
-On-site training of carpenters and staff
-Communication with clients and subcontractors of the schedule
-Supervise subcontractors and manage scope of work
-Jobsite safety and security while working alongside other staff
-Supervise field crew responsibilities and tasks
- Production:
-Tools and equipment list needed for each job
-Vehicle stock and tool maintenance
-Equipment rental
-Site setup / dust protection
-Site demolition/layout
-Project build
-Framing and installation of finish products
- Management
-Site visits with project manager prior to job start
-Schedule initial walkthroughs
-View and adjust schedule for product arrival
-Contact subcontractors of start dates
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential remodeling with framing, management, scheduling, and finish carpentry skills.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, layout, blueprint reading, and some structural knowledge.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; familiarity with working at heights preferred
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and coordinate multiple tasks and jobs simultaneously
- Valid experience in working on construction sites with adherence to safety protocols; certification in OSHA or equivalent is a plus

Pay: $ $37.00 per hour
