Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team for the day shift on Thursdays and Fridays from 7am to 7pm. This role requires prior experience with medication administration and providing high-quality care to individuals with diverse needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, home & community care, or long-term care settings, and possess the skills necessary to support residents' well-being and independence. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring assistance with daily activities and medical needs.
Duties
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing
Feeding, meals , Changing Briefs, and Laundry Administer Medications and Speak
English and Tagalog preferred.
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status or behavior
- Provide companionship and emotional support, ensuring residents feel valued and cared for
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary plans and assist residents during meal times
- Maintain detailed care plans tailored to each resident's needs and update them regularly
- Support residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, or memory care requirements through specialized techniques
- Assist with transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by performing light cleaning duties as needed
- Document all care activities accurately and report any concerns to supervising staff promptly
Qualifications
- Prior experience in senior care, assisted living, hospice, or home health environments is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient observation techniques
- Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks as required
- Strong communication skills and compassionate nature to provide empathetic care
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure resident confidentiality and privacy
- Valid driver's license is advantageous for community outings or appointments
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work the specified Thursday & Friday day shift from 7am to 7pm
