Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or health challenges. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal service while adhering to dietary restrictions and safety standards
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions and document all medication administration in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
- Support residents during community outings or activities to promote social engagement and independence
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning resident areas and shared spaces
- Follow individualized Service plans designed by SSA's to ensure personalized support for each individuals needs
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and working with people with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required (If not currently certified PerCo Inc. will pay and provide in house training; additional training in hospice care or home health is a plus
- Experience with patient monitoring and medication administration,
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting individuals with mobility or transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts
- Strong interpersonal skills for working compassionately with individuals, families, and team members

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
