Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food industry standards, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety and quality, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations to provide an outstanding dining experience for guests.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all restaurant activities, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness.
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to ensure high performance and team cohesion.
- Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food production to minimize waste and control costs.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of food handling and sanitation.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling and sales tracking.
- Monitor customer service quality, address guest concerns promptly, and ensure a positive dining experience.
- Oversee kitchen management including food quality, presentation, and adherence to recipes and standards.
- Conduct interviews, hire new team members, and participate in staff training & development initiatives.
- Manage shift operations efficiently to meet business goals while maintaining a safe environment for staff and guests.
- Coordinate with vendors for catering or banquet services when applicable.
- Maintain a professional appearance of the restaurant environment consistent with brand standards.
Requirements
- Proven management experience in the food industry, preferably within quick service & fast food restaurants or fine dining establishments.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, culinary techniques, and kitchen management.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling expertise required.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising or team management roles.
- Familiarity with inventory control, budgeting, and food safety regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally.
- Ability to train staff effectively in food handling, safety procedures, and service standards.
- Previous experience in hospitality management or restaurant experience is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
