Bartender

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and experienced Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a solid understanding of food and beverage operations, and experience in fast-paced fine-dining settings. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, engaging with guests, and ensuring a memorable experience for all patrons. Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS is preferred to facilitate efficient transactions. The Bartender will play a key role in creating an inviting atmosphere while maintaining high standards of food safety and responsible alcohol service.

Duties

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems. Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience.
• Manage cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations for billing purposes.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and responsible beverage service policies.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and equipment.
• Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
• Monitor guest behavior to promote a safe environment and prevent over-serving.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff for food service or food handling needs during events or regular service hours.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple guests efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining or similar hospitality environments.
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and billing accuracy.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service regulations.
• Experience with food industry operations including catering, food handling, and food service is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights; weekend availability is a plus.
• Previous experience in retail math or cashiering enhances efficiency in transaction processing.
• Clean, professional appearance with a friendly smile and demeanor.
