Avid Bioservices is a leading clinical and commercial biologics CDMO focused on creating innovative solutions to meet the needs of our clients and improve patient outcomes.   Your Role:   Take your career to the next level as our Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition , where you will serve as a strategic leader, senior recruiter, and trusted advisor driving talent strategy across a fast-growing CDMO organization. Reporting to the VP of People, this role blends hands on recruiting expertise, strategic leadership, and cross-functional project ownership. You will shape hiring strategies, elevate TA operations, coach hiring leaders, own complex and highly technical requisitions, and influence workforce planning across the organization. You will play a direct role in solving today's hiring needs — while building the systems, brand, and pipelines that fuel Avid's future. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Workforce Planning
  • Act as the senior talent advisor to leaders across Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Development, G&A, and Commercial functions.
  • Lead strategic discussions on workforce planning, talent forecasting, labor market insights, and hiring priorities.
  • Advise executives and senior leaders on talent implications during organizational changes, growth initiatives, and scaling activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement across recruiting processes, interviewing standards, ATS workflow, and hiring manager capability.
High‑Level Recruiting Expertise (Senior IC Work)
  • Lead full‑cycle recruitment for the most technical, niche, and senior‑level roles within the CDMO, biologics, and life sciences space.
  • Own complex searches that require deep industry knowledge, proactive market mapping, sourcing creativity, and persistent follow‑through.
  • Build, nurture, and leverage long-term pipelines of specialized CDMO, biotech, CRO, and manufacturing talent.
  • Design sophisticated sourcing strategies that target passive and highly competitive talent segments.
Team Influence, Coaching & Cross‑Functional Enablement
  • Coach hiring managers on selection, interviewing, decision-making, and creating a high-quality candidate experience.
  • Provide guidance and informal mentorship to junior recruiters and recruiting coordinators to elevate the team's collective capability.
  • Partner closely with HRBPs to ensure alignment between talent needs, business objectives, and internal mobility opportunities.
Operational Excellence & TA Infrastructure
  • Lead large-scale TA initiatives such as:
    • Interview process redesign
    • Employer brand enhancements
    • DE&I hiring strategies
    • Recruitment analytics and reporting
    • Vendor and agency management
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to tell a compelling story around hiring performance, pipeline health, and bottlenecks.
  • Continuously evaluate tools, systems, platforms, and vendors to ensure Avid remains competitive and efficient.
University, Early Talent & Internship Program Leadership
  • Oversee and evolve the university recruiting strategy, including partnerships, events, and brand presence.
  • Strengthen and expand the internship program, ensuring early‑career talent pipelines are aligned with long-term organizational needs.
Candidate Experience & Brand Stewardship
  • Set the standard for exceptional candidate experience from first touch to offer acceptance.
  • Represent Avid Bioservices' values, mission, and culture with authenticity and clarity.
  • Ensure a welcoming, timely, and engaging hiring journey that reinforces Avid as a premier employer in the CDMO space.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in sourcing, full cycle recruiting, interviewing, and hiring — with at least 3 years leading complex searches or influencing senior-level hiring.  2-3 years managing small to medium teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong experience recruiting for specialized technical, scientific, operational, or leadership roles.
  • Proven ability to operate with creativity, agility, and resourcefulness in a growing or resource‑constrained environment.
  • Demonstrated success influencing senior executives and shaping talent decisions through insight, data, and credibility.
  • Strong analytical capability; able to build dashboards, interpret data, and translate insights into action.
  • Exceptional communication skills, high attention to detail, and strong organizational discipline.
  • Thrives in fast‑paced, dynamic environments and adapts quickly to shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in CDMO, biotech, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, engineering, or life sciences recruitment.
  • Prior experience leading or significantly contributing to TA operations, ATS optimization, or process design.
  • Experience building and running university/early talent programs.
  • Background in both leadership hiring and high‑volume technical recruiting.
