Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile to join our construction and restoration team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various aspects of carpentry, construction estimating, and site restoration. This role involves working on diverse projects including framing, roofing, drywall, flooring, and specialized restoration tasks. The will be responsible for executing detailed construction and renovation work with precision and safety in mind, contributing to high-quality project outcomes across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
Duties
- Perform framing carpentry, trim carpentry, and woodworking tasks using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project plans.
- Install fixtures such as doors, cabinets, siding, and moldings with attention to detail.
- Conduct concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, and roofing as required by project specifications.
- Execute plastering, stucco application, drywall finishing, and water damage restoration processes.
- Fabricate custom components using metal stud framing or CNC machinery when necessary.
- Assist with demolition, remodeling, flooring installation (tile laying), electrical work, plumbing, and masonry tasks.
- Handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining adherence to safety protocols on construction sites.
- Read schematics for electrical or plumbing systems to ensure proper installation or repair.
- Perform caulking, fixture installation, siding work, and other finishing tasks to meet project standards.
- Support mold remediation efforts and water damage restoration projects with specialized techniques.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, framing carpentry, or related fields such as restoration industry experience or general construction site work.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding systems, and blueprint reading is essential.
- Knowledge of metal stud framing, drywall finishing, roofing techniques including shingle or metal roofing systems.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
- Strong understanding of safety standards on construction sites including OSHA regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
- Prior experience in remodeling projects such as cabinet installation, door hanging, flooring installation (tile or hardwood), or plastering is desirable.
