Kitchen Manager

Zukkusan Sushi Bar & Grill is where modern culinary creativity meets traditional Asian flavors. We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team and lead the heart of our kitchen operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee Kitchen Operations: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, from food preparation to service.
• Maintain Quality Standards: Guarantee every dish meets Zukkusan's high-quality standards in taste, presentation, and safety.
• Lead the Team: Train, schedule, and motivate kitchen staff to create a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Inventory and Ordering: Monitor inventory levels, place orders for fresh ingredients, and manage food costs effectively.
• Ensure Compliance: Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
• Innovate and Collaborate: Work closely with the staff to refine the menu and introduce seasonal or special items.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
• A strong understanding of sushi preparation and Japanese cuisine is highly preferred.
• Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations best practices.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Experience with cooking on a wok is a plus
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Rate: $50k-55k/yr
