Join our fast-paced team as a Picker/Packer in Virginia Beach, Virginia! We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to play a critical role in our fulfillment operations. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately picking items for customer orders and efficiently packing them for shipment. This role is essential to our logistics process, ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. A focus on speed, accuracy, and safety is key to success in this position. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or RF scanner data.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely into boxes or other shipping containers, using appropriate materials.
- Label packages with shipping information and tracking labels.
- Prepare orders for shipment, organizing them for carrier pickup.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory checks and cycle counts.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with orders or inventory.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a picking or packing role is advantageous.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 40 lbs.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following all regulations.
- Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential for this logistics role.
