You will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse associates, coordinating workflow, and implementing best practices in logistics management. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the warehouse team.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and logistics operations.
- Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on job duties, safety procedures, and operational standards.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular audits.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
- Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues and discrepancies.
- Maintain a high level of organization and cleanliness throughout the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team and drive performance.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices, including lifting techniques and PPE.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education is an advantage.
- Physical ability to perform tasks as needed, including occasional lifting.
As a leader in our logistics operations, you will set the standard for safety, ensuring all team members understand and follow proper lifting protocols and consistently utilize their PPE. Your role is crucial in maintaining our high standards.
