Become a key player in our distribution center as a Picker/Packer in Dallas, Texas! This fast-paced role involves accurately selecting products for customer orders and preparing them for shipment. You will be responsible for ensuring that orders are picked efficiently, packed securely, and ready for dispatch in a timely manner. Attention to detail is critical to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. This position requires physical stamina, the ability to work quickly and accurately, and a strong commitment to workplace safety . You'll be an integral part of our logistics operation, contributing directly to our ability to serve our customers. Adherence to all PPE requirements is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using scanning equipment or pick lists.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Verify picked items against order accuracy.
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks to move items within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and work area.
- Meet established picking and packing performance standards.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE .
- Report any damaged items or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the shipping department.
Qualifications:
Must be able to perform manual labor, including frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse environment is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance metrics. Basic reading and comprehension skills for order fulfillment. Team-oriented and able to follow instructions. Strong commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE is essential. This role is a core component of our logistics function and requires reliability and dedication.
