We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for our busy distribution center in Cincinnati, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role requires a keen eye for safety, precision in handling goods, and a solid understanding of warehouse logistics. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials within our facility.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring accurate placement of goods.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment before and after use, reporting any issues or maintenance needs.
- Stack and store materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and safety.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts, verifying quantities and locations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and safety.
- Properly utilize PPE, including safety shoes and high-visibility vests, at all times.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall team performance in logistics.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong understanding of material handling techniques and warehouse logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
