Join our vibrant team as a Picker/Packer in Washington, D.C., where you'll be instrumental in ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. This role is essential to our Logistics network, demanding precision and efficiency in selecting items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. You will work in a dynamic warehouse environment, handling a variety of products and utilizing technology to ensure order accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order lists or electronic pick tickets.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package items securely and appropriately for shipment, selecting the correct packaging materials.
- Label packages with shipping information and any required documentation.
- Operate scanning equipment to track inventory and order fulfillment progress.
- Maintain an organized and clean workstation and contribute to overall warehouse cleanliness.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of incoming goods as needed.
- Support overall Logistics efficiency by performing duties promptly and accurately.
- Be prepared for tasks involving moderate Lifting of packages.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and order information.
- Proficiency with scanning devices and basic computer skills.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Capable of Lifting items up to 30-40 lbs.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Commitment to Safety and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures is essential.
