Position Overview: The Warehouse Coordinator organizes and maintains warehouse activities safely to ensure the accuracy of the inventory, shipping, and deliveries. This is a hands-on role that supports both the physical execution and administrative coordination of duties. The Warehouse Coordinator will organize all aspects of internal and external shipping, receiving, pick-ups, deliveries, sorting, organizing and quality control. Experience within the mail carrier industry is highly desired.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Oversee and prepare the full-cycle of Shipping/Delivery: review paperwork for accuracy, track products, dispatch shipments, coordinate deliveries, verify product, assign storage locations, and record all information.
- Manage inventory control and work with managers for records.
- Complete scheduled inventory audits for customers to confirm accuracy in the tracking system.
- Support lockbox fulfillment activities when needed.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, standards, and guidelines and foster a culture of safety awareness
- Ensure production floor is adequately stocked for two shifts of production.
- Fulfill stock requisitions promptly.
- Complete all monthly reports in a timely manner.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with all departments, customers, and vendors.
- Research cost effective shipping alternatives.
- Tag materials with identifying information.
- Operate forklift, power hand jacks, and other material handling equipment safely & efficiently
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, neat and orderly work area.
- Cross train with the production team operators
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned to assist the company achieve its goals
Required Skills / Abilities
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a team environment as well as autonomously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
- Highly motivated, self-starter, and team player with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to use a personal computer.
- Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment.
- Ability to drive small box trucks.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Technical/ Vocational training highly desired
- 3 to 5 years of warehouse & distribution experience required
- Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Valid drivers license & clean driving record required
- Certified on powered industrial equipment required
- Knowledge of light equipment maintenance (mechanical aptitude) highly desired
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 20-60 lbs. continuously.
- Ability to stand up to 10 hours/day.
- Ability to maintain coordinated manual dexterity with mental and visual attentiveness.
- Periodic physical activity may require walking, climbing, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and stooping.
- Ability to work in warehouse environment with varying conditions and temperatures.
