Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Electrician/Supervisor to lead electrical projects across commercial and industrial construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess extensive electrical expertise, including knowledge of NEC standards, blueprint reading, and schematics, along with strong leadership abilities to oversee teams and ensure safety and quality standards are met. This role offers an opportunity to manage complex electrical installations,, and maintenance projects while adhering to all safety regulations and industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities on construction sites.
- Lead a team of electricians, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute electrical systems installation accurately.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair low voltage and high voltage electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for industrial automation processes.
- Ensure all work adheres to NEC codes and safety standards related to commercial and industrial electrical systems.
- Manage the procurement of materials and coordinate with project managers to meet deadlines.
- Conduct inspections to verify the quality of work performed and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior electricians on technical procedures and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Valid Master Electrician license with proven experience supervising electrical projects in commercial or industrial settings.
- Extensive experience with industrial electrician tasks, including working on construction sites involving renovation or new installations.
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, high voltage (HV), low voltage (LV), and power distribution systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, schematics software, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and troubleshooting industrial automation systems.
- Construction site experience demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining safety standards.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to oversee teams effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Relevant certifications or training in electrical safety standards are preferred. This position offers a challenging environment for experienced electricians looking to advance their careers into supervisory roles while making significant contributions to large-scale construction projects.
