Physical Therapist assistant

Job Summary The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care. The PTA assists in implementing treatment plans, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, and supporting daily clinic operations to ensure effective rehabilitation outcomes.
--- Key Responsibilities Assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out individualized treatment plans. Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities. Administer modalities such as heat, ice, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as prescribed. Observe patients' responses to treatment and report progress or concerns to the Physical Therapist. Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and injury prevention. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient progress. Ensure a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment. Assist with patient scheduling and clinic flow as needed. Comply with all clinic policies, HIPAA regulations, and professional standards.
--- Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Valid PTA license (or eligibility) in the practicing state. CPR/BLS certification preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and conditions. Team-oriented mindset with a patient-centered approach.
