Electrical Estimator

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive electrical project estimates, supporting project planning, and ensuring cost-effective solutions. Duties

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam, ensuring accuracy in pricing and scope of work.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and contracts to develop comprehensive project cost analyses.
• Perform quantity take-offs and analyze project plans to determine labor, material, equipment costs, and overall project feasibility.
• Engage in negotiation with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate with project management teams to develop budgets, schedules, and cost control strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NEC codes, construction estimating best practices, and current market trends affecting electrical costs.
• Assist in contract review and support the development of proposals for new projects.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to estimating processes and tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on electrical systems; prior electrical or construction site experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NEC codes, construction management principles, and contract administration.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu for digital plan review and markup; experience with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is essential.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms without compromising quality or safety standards.
• Familiarity with project management practices including cost control, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Ability to interpret complex construction drawings and technical specifications accurately.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of estimating work.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting estimates clearly. Pay: $68, $82,928.45 per year
