As part of our North American expansion, Kraken is establishing a branch office in Los Angeles to enhance its global strategic capabilities and corporate leadership. We are seeking a visionary
Chief Strategy Officer (CSO)
to guide the company's long-term strategic direction, drive cross-regional initiatives, and ensure Kraken remains agile and competitive in a rapidly evolving global market.

Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate Strategy & Vision

• Define, develop, and communicate Kraken's long-term corporate vision and strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
• Lead the strategic planning process, identifying opportunities for growth, diversification, and transformation.
• Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans.

2. Market & Competitive Intelligence

• Oversee comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to inform business decisions and anticipate industry trends.
• Identify emerging markets, technologies, and partnerships that can strengthen Kraken's global position.
• Provide data-driven insights to support corporate development, expansion, and innovation.

3. Cross-Functional Leadership

• Collaborate with functional leaders across Finance, Operations, HR, and Business Development to ensure strategic alignment across departments.
• Drive coordination between global teams to ensure consistent execution of strategic priorities.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships from a strategic perspective, including integration planning and post-merger alignment.

4. Organizational Transformation & Performance

• Lead strategic initiatives focused on operational excellence, digital transformation, and efficiency improvement.
• Establish frameworks for performance tracking and accountability against strategic KPIs.
• Drive cultural alignment around the company's long-term mission and values.

5. Executive Advisory & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the CEO's principal advisor on strategic matters, risk management, and corporate growth.
• Prepare and present strategy updates, business reviews, and board-level communications.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, partners, and regulators.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Strategy, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 15+ years of leadership experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or executive-level business planning.
• Proven success in designing and implementing long-term strategic initiatives across international organizations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high level of financial and business acumen.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Global mindset and ability to navigate complex, multicultural business environments.
• Experience in financial services, technology, or multinational corporations preferred.
