Dance Instructor/Choreographer

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles, particularly ballet, and possess the ability to engage and inspire students of all ages. This role involves teaching dance classes, developing curriculum, and fostering a positive learning environment that promotes creativity and self-expression.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging dance curricula for students of varying skill levels.
• Teach dance techniques in a clear and effective manner, ensuring students understand the fundamentals.
• Create lesson plans that incorporate elements of childhood development and education principles.
• Provide individualized feedback to students to enhance their skills and confidence.
• Organize and conduct performances or showcases to highlight student progress.
• Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Collaborate with other instructors to coordinate class schedules and events.
• Utilize photography skills to document student performances and milestones.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of curriculum development tailored for different age groups.
• Experience working with students in a classroom or studio setting.
• Background in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in ballet and other dance forms, with the ability to teach various styles.
• Understanding of childhood development principles to effectively engage young learners.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective instruction.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students while fostering a love for dance.
• Photography skills are a plus for capturing class activities and performances.
