Valley View Milling is a manufacturer of various animal feed products with options for delivery and pickup services. Bagged feed is also available for purchase, providing convenience and flexibility to customers.

Position Summary

The Facility Maintenance role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment across the feed mill, warehouse, trucking areas, and grain bins. This position is responsible for routine sanitation, general facility upkeep, and light maintenance tasks to support daily operations, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Sanitation & Housekeeping

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of feed mill equipment, production areas, warehouses, truck loading areas, and grain bins.
• Clean mixers, conveyors, bins, loading areas, and related equipment following established procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment safely and according to guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness to prevent contamination and support feed safety standards.
• Assist with pest prevention by maintaining clean areas and reporting signs of infestation.
• Complete basic documentation related to cleaning and sanitation activities.

Facility Maintenance & Support

• Perform light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, part replacement, lubrication, tightening fittings, and basic troubleshooting.
• Assist with general facility upkeep including sweeping, shoveling, pressure washing, and grounds maintenance.
• Identify and report equipment issues, safety hazards, or maintenance needs.
• Support maintenance staff with repairs, shutdowns, or scheduled maintenance as needed.

Safety & Team Collaboration

• Follow all safety policies and procedures and wear any required PPE.
• Work closely with production, warehouse, maintenance, and trucking teams.
• Participate in safety meetings and assist with inspections and audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in sanitation, maintenance, agriculture, feed mills, warehouses, or industrial environments is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, equipment, and cleaning practices.
• Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail.
• Physically able to lift, bend, climb, and work in dusty or noisy environments.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
